Park Shi Hoo's name stricken from the official list of nominations "49th Baeksang Arts Awards 2013". This was announced by the organizers on their official website on April 4. In this event, Shi Hoo initially categorized as "Popularity Award".
"April 4th, established actor Park Shi Hoo was dropped as a nominee for the award Popularity Award," organizers wrote on the official site as reported by Soompi. "This was done because movie fans consider the opinion that said the nominees should not include being social criticism from the public."
"The Park Shi Hoo also agree with this until the case is resolved," they wrote. "This is the best decision for all of them". The next day (5/4), the committee re-wrote, "Because of a change in the nomination list, we plan to return the number of fans who have chosen to Park Shi Hoo".
It is quite unfortunate, because given the current Shi Hoo gets the most votes, nearly 47 percent of the total vote before the name was removed because of cases of sexual abuse that was happened now.
